     INVITATION FOR BIDS

           The Greensville County School Board is soliciting bids for the following petroleum products and propane gas with a floating price quotation.

      1. Gasoline – Regular unleaded 87 octane or better
      2. Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel – For school buses, trucks and maintenance tractors
      3. Fuel Oil – Heating Fuel
      4. Propane Gas

    SPECIFIC BID CONDITIONS

    1. The bidder must be able to deliver small truckloads within 2 hours of notice that an emergency delivery is needed.
    1. Bids will be for the period starting July 1, 2017 until June 30, 2020.
    1. Gasoline card cost is for informational purposes only, but the bidder must have a gasoline card system within Greensville County.
    1. Vendor must provide a ten-day cost analysis for the period of April 3- April 14, 2017.
    1. The vendor bid price is the additional cost to the division above the fuel cost on the day of delivery.

     

    Fuel Bids

    General Terms and Conditions

    1. Due consideration will be given to the quality, as judged by tests and previous experience, to the price and the ability of the bidder to render proper services, including a bulk fuel storage site within Greensville County and support for our fuel pumping system located at our bus shop. 
    1. Due consideration will be given to vendors that have fueling facilities within Greensville County in event that an issue may arise with the fuel pumping system the division has on its property.
    1. The School Board reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and waive any bid irregularities.
    1. Bids will be awarded by fuel type, i.e. all Diesel Fuel will be awarded to one vendor.
    1. The bids shall be returned no later than 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017, to the Greensville County School Board Office, 105 Ruffin Street, Emporia, Virginia, in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Gas, Oil, and Propane Bid”. The bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter.
    1. Bid awards will be made by the Greensville County School Board at its regular meeting on May 8, 2017.
