  • Notice of Public Hearing

    Greensville County School Board will hold public hearings on the 2019-2020 School's Budget.  On January 28, 2019, there will be a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. at the Greenville County School Board Office.  The second public hearing will be part of their February 11, 2019 School Board meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Greenville County High School Library.

  • A CDL Bus Driver class will be held February 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd, 2019 at the School Board Office (105 Ruffin Street, Emporia, VA).  Classes will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day and the candidate must attend all classes.  A total of 24 hours of classroom training is required as well as a total of 24 hours of behind the wheel training.  If interested, please call or email Valerie Seaborne at 434-634-4702 or vseaborne@gcps1.com by January 25, 2019.

  • A free training for parents of students with disabilities will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2019 at the Appomattox Inn and Suites in Appomattox, Virginia from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The purpose of the training is to assist parents in understanding the keys to your child's academic success, the decisions you need to make regarding your child's educational path, critical decision points and when they should be made, and information needed to make well informed decisions for your child.

  • Greensville County Public Schools announces the sponsorship of the At-Risk Afterschool Meals Program. The same meals will be available at no separate charge to all participants at each site.

    In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

    Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

    To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form (AD-3027), found online at http://www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992.
