Dr. Kelvin Edwards

    Dr. Edwards has more than 25 years of experience working in public education in Virginia and North Carolina. Since 2019, he has served as the assistant superintendent of schools in Northampton County, North Carolina. “I am exceedingly honored, humbled, and excited to have been selected to serve the Greensville County community as superintendent. I am also extremely appreciative of the board’s confidence in my leadership. I am anxious to start serving the children, school board, and the community of the Greensville County Public Schools division. Marva Dunn, chair of the Greensville County School Board, believes Dr. Edwards will be a great fit for the school division. She stated, “The Greensville‌ ‌County‌ ‌Public‌ ‌School‌ ‌Board‌ ‌looks‌ forward‌ ‌to‌ ‌working‌ ‌with‌ ‌Dr.‌ ‌Edwards‌ ‌as‌ ‌we‌ ‌all‌ ‌strive‌ ‌to‌ ‌achieve‌ ‌a‌ ‌school‌ ‌division‌ ‌of‌ excellence!‌” Edwards earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College, an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, a Master of Education from North Carolina A&T State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology from North Carolina A&T State University. The Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) assisted the Greensville County school board with the superintendent search process.
